If you search the internet for trucking schools or truck driving schools you will get many results and websites with lists of truck driving schools. How do you know which ones are good or which trucking schools are scams?
It can be very difficult for someone who is new to the trucking industry to figure it all out. Almost every website will make claims of “Great CDL Training” and “Guaranteed Jobs” or other similar statements. Some will claim to have “Paid CDL Training” or Free CDL Training”.
The fact is there are CDL Mills out there that will take your money, give you a CDL, and you will struggle to find a job and end up frustrated and ripped off. Another option may be going to a company trucking school that says all the right things and promises you the world only to find out the hard way that it was all smoke and mirrors.
The problem is how to review a trucking school and where can you find accurate trucking school reviews. An independent company could pay someone to go through all the trucking schools and then try to get a job and write about their experience at all these trucking schools. That is a good idea but who is going to put up the money to do that?
The other way is to get on the internet and search for trucking school reviews. If the name of the trucking school that you are researching is “Bobs trucking school” go to Google and put “Bobs trucking school reviews” into the search box. You will probably find several websites with comments from students who actually attended the trucking school that you are researching.
These is no better way to find an accurate review of a trucking school than from someone who has actually attended the trucking school. You still have to read between the lines when looking at these Trucking School Reviews. An occasional recruiter will post a comment from time to time but these are easy to recognize as well as the disgruntled student who just could not handle learning to drive a truck. |
